Dororo
by Osamu Tezuka
Dororo is an amazing manga by an exceptionally amazing author. This story may be formulaic but they're from the 60s so I can cut some slack there. But, really it is all about the story and Tezuka does such an amazing job telling this story and creating it's characters that what may seem formula now it just really great storytelling.
I am more than glad that Vertical has released this work to be enjoyed by everyone here in America. There is no reason that any work of art, and Tezuka definitely is art, should be held back from the public eye.
It isn't for everyone especially because of Tezuka's comic aspects and cartoony artwork, but this is a series that I thoroughly enjoy in every iteration.
Pick up the volumes and find out for yourself the joy of Tezuka's Dororo.
I like Osamu Tezuka cause he's on the draker, more serious side and the characters expressions are not as exagerated as most anime. This series is really worth flipping through!!
