We pop Dan's anime cherry with two of my favorites, and first anime films I ever saw, Dragonball Z Movie 12: Fusion Reborn and Ninja Scroll!
We find out what Dan never liked about anime and try our hardest to give some direction to follow as we go into the beauty of violence, the comedy in theoretical rape and that Fist of the North Star is something he needs to look forward to.

I am glad to know I am not the only one trying to get my brother interested in Anime and Manga. I have not tried extensively hard but I have put a slight effort towards it. He has read the first Death Note. I love that series up until a critical turning point in which we lose L. After that i think the series went downhill. I like action and romantic comedy and I tend to lean more towards reading Manga rather then watching Anime. I watched the first set of the Dragonball collection with my brother-in-law. so sadly it has been about 2 1/2-3 years since i last saw any Dragonball. none the less I love Dragonball. well good luck with my brother and rock on all you amazingly awesome critics of our world!
ReplyDeleteI share more of Dan's point of view with anime and cartoons, (except I like Spongebob). I'm not really into Japanimation that much and frankly think it's over rated. I do enjoy the darker stuff both with manga's and anime however. After listening to this podcaast I may check out Ninja Scroll.
